Frequently
Asked
Questions

What is the process for starting therapy?

  • Contact Me: Please fill out the contact form on my website or email me directly at zacharykilgorelcsw@gmail.com. I will respond within 24 hours to schedule a consultation call and outline next steps.

  • Consultation Call: We’ll have a brief 15–20 minute call to discuss your needs, answer questions, and determine if we are a good fit to work together.

  • Initial Intake Assessment: A comprehensive evaluation to understand your history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. Intake sessions are typically 60 minutes and may take one to two meetings to complete.

  • Therapy Sessions: Ongoing sessions are usually 50 minutes once a week, though some clients may benefit from twice-weekly or intensive therapy. The duration of treatment varies by individual but often ranges from several months to a year, depending on progress and goals.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not accept insurance directly.

Navigating therapy billing and insurance reimbursement can feel challenging, but I am here to help. Clients receive a monthly statement (superbill) that can be submitted to their insurance company for potential reimbursement.

I encourage new or prospective clients to contact their insurance provider and ask the following questions:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • Do I have a deductible, and if so, how much has been met?

  • What percentage of the therapy fee is covered?

  • How many sessions are covered per year?

Please contact me directly to learn more, discuss your options, and inquire about my current fees for therapy.
